This beautiful pair of French Louis XV four branch bronze sconces feature bronze candle cups and bobeches. Dating back to the 19th century, the pieces are draped with crystal rosettes, crystal stars, and cut crystal plaquettes of various shapes with large cut crystal teardrops at the top. Finally, a large crystal obelisk is found in the center of each. The glimmering bronze creates a beautiful, open background for the clear crystals to shine through, resulting in a well balanced and vibrant pair.

French 19th Century Empire Demi-Lune Sconce, Three Lights
Item Number: 340x
This French 19th century sconce is made of both patinated bronze and bronze, and features a classic demi-lune, ‘half moon,’ shape. The backplate features a pineapple above acanthus leaves at top. As the eye moves downward, we see a floriated bronze decoration above patinated bronze elements. The half moon shaped element is wrapped in simply patterned patinated bronze, and features three lights, each with beaded drippers above acanthus leaf covered candle cups.
