19th Century Chinoiserie Game Table with Black Felt Top and Carved and Raised Details

This detailed, painted Chinoiserie game table features tapered legs with a black felt center, and dates back to the 19th century.  The antique painted piece carries scenes along the top which are beautifully raised and carved. Added details rest delicately on the legs and apron. This Louis XV “Tric Trac” (backgammon) game table features satinwood veneer and dates back to the 18th century, Circa 1780. The French Antique piece holds a reversible leather/felt top, which rotates to show the playing suface. The piece rests on cabriole legs with bronze mounts on the feet and sides, as well as two small drwaers with bronze pulls. The game of Tric Trac was invented in France around 1500, with the earliest record of the game dating back to 17th century England.
