Pair of Large 19th Century Napoleon III Bronze Sconces
Item Number: 79x
These French Napoleon III sconces are made of bronze and date back to the mid 19th century. The backplate features a flowing acanthus leaf motif as well as geometric pattern work. The top features a bronze flame, and the bottom, a scrolling finial. The two arms reach out from the center plate with grapes in the casting. This was likely an ode to bacchus, the greek god of wine.
Price: $4,500 for the pair
