Exquisite French 19th century Louis XVI mahogany grand buffet a` deux corps, with marble top and bronze d’ore` mounts. This grand cabinet has French doors on the top and bottom. The doors have bronze d’ore knobs and escutcheons. There are bronze d’ore` swags and festoons across the top, a d’ore` egg and dart pattern, and a centered face framed with oak leaves and acorns. On either side of bottom half there are mounts in the shape of drapes with fringe, framed in beads on either side, as well as the top and bottom. The front of the center drawer is richly adorned with heavy bronze d’ore` fleurettes in circles, the whole in beaded frame. The piece rests on carved and fluted, round mahogany feet, with bronze d’ore` capitals of acanthus leaves, and acanthus leaves at bottom with bronze bun feet.

Gorgeous pair of French 19th century three-light bronze d’ore` candelabra with Meissen porcelain man on one, lady on the other: each modeled standing holding a handled basket. Each porcelain features features floriate details and rests on a bronze d’ore` base with the three light candelabrum behind each. The candelabrum are beautifully crafted in the Louis XV/Rococo style, with acanthus leaves on the arms as well as the candle cups.

French 19th century carved, painted, and gilded Empire/Classic Revival trumeau with blue background behind gold allegorical figures. The figures rest below a top pediment of carved and gilded leaves. A fluted pilaster is seen on either side, with heavily carved Ionic capital on each. The female figure is playing a lyre, flanked en either side by a male figure, a pedestal with a sphinx, cougar, and winged figure to her left. The mirror is on the original glass.

Magnificent Pair of Meissen Snowball Porcelain Covered Vases, Marked

Magnificent pair of Meissen covered vases, decorated with snowball porcelain effect, with winged parrot on top of each cover, above branches, leaves, and berries. The entire surface of each vase is decorated with snowball porcelain effect. Different three dimensional colorful birds and leafy branches are set around each vase, the birds seeming to have landed on the vase. The type of vase is described as ‘Schneeballen’ or snow ball vase. They were first made in 1741. Each vase has hundreds of flower, 'snowballs’ which were hand modeled and individually applied. This style was also particularly astonishing given that firing porcelain was incredibly difficult.
