This fantastic Louis XV mantel features beautifully carved white marble and dates back to the 19th century. The piece is charged with details; note the shell motif at center with outreaching acanthus leaves below, the heavily curved apron indicative of the period’s style, the countered top shelf, and the scroll work at the top and base of the feet. The mantel combines delicate details with a weighted presence, culminating in a beautifully balanced piece that’s poised to bring a fantastic French element to any home.
