Pair of Italian 18th Century Wood Gilt Mirrors

This beautiful pair of Italian Louis XV mirrors date back to the mid 18th century, circa 1760. They are fantastically hand carved with outreaching scroll and foliate work. Note the crest at bottom, the cross work in the middle portion indicative of Louis XV, and the added elements extending north, east, south, and west giving both great movement and balance. The gold portions are gilded, that is they are painted with real gold, and the visible wood background is hand painted.

This impressive Louis XIV chandelier features exquisite bronze d’ore and an impressively detailed stem . The 19th century piece sports d'ore candle cups, each nestled in a finely chiseled bobeche in the form of a cornucopia, (fruit basket). Each arm on the French antique piece is adorned with an acanthus leaf at center, classic to the Louis XIV manner. A crown of acanthus leaves sits at top with an acorn finial bookending the piece at bottom.

Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Cabinets with Bronze Mounts, Marble Top and Central Coromandel Panel

Showcasing a beautiful pair of Louis XV marquetry cabinets with a central coromandel panel flanked by open shelves. It was fashionable in the 19th century to use coromandel panels as doors, and to work these designs into the construction of French furniture. The French antique piece plays host to a curved marble top, with the same marble seen in the four open shelves, two at each side. The piece features detailed bronze mounts throughout including a pierced gallery on the shelves’ exteriors to offer a barrier for objects on display. Finally, the piece rests on fluted legs with bronze mounts on top and bottom classic to the Louis XV style.  Uniquely, the pair can be combined at the back to work as an island in an open concept room, or can of course be placed individually against a wall.

Historic Pair of 18th Century Courtille Porcelain Vases, Inscribed from The Duke de Richelieu to The Princesse de Lamballe, Bronze d’Ore Mounts added in the 19th Century

This marvelous and historic pair of Napoleon III hand-painted Courtille porcelain vases feature bronze d’ore mounts alongside raised gold decorations. The French antique vases date back to the 18th century, with the bronze d’ore mounts added in the latter half of the 19th century. Impressively each top is inscribed on its underside: “Offert par le Duc de Richelieu a la Princesse de Lamballe,” translating to, “Given by the Duke de Richelieu to the Princesse de Lamballe.” The pair also features the mark of the Courtille porcelain manufacturer, an 18th century porcelain producer located in Paris. On the exterior, we find picnic scenes on the fronts and pastoral scenes on the backs. Bronze d’ore flows in plenty with d’ore knobs at top, d’ore handles on either side of each with the face of Bacchus. Finally the pair rests on beautifully chased and detailed d’ore stands.
