This beautiful French Restauration style table dates back to the 1800s and is made of beautiful walnut wood. The table is in the shape of a lyre, and features a top inlaid with parquetry chevron shapes, a hinged box on either side for closed storage, and a concave bottom shelf for open storage.

Fine French Louis XVI Writing Table, Signed “P. Sormani & Fils,” 19th Century

This extremely fine Louis XVI mahogany writing table dates back to the 19th century and features detailed bronze d’ore mounts. The piece is most notably signed by Paul Sormani, one of the most famous cabinet makers, originally from Italy, with a shop in Paris in the 1800s. The signature reads, “P. Sormani & Fils 10 r. Charlot, Paris.” Finally, the piece features an inset leather top with a bronze inlay, as well as fluted Louis XVI legs with bronze feet. It’s a stellar example of Sormani’s craftsmanship and style.
