This gorgeous pair of 19th century carved and gilded oak pedestals are immaculately detailed and well balanced. The French antique pair is adorned with gilded carvings of leaves which cascade down from the shell at top center, towards the base. More carved and gilded acanthus leaves are seen on the two angled corners at bottom, with fluted and raised elements above. The pair is constructed with a plain back making the pair best suited for placement against a wall.

French 18th Century Painted and Gilded Tole Fountain

This fantastic period Directoire fountain features painted and gilded tole and is dated circa 1790. The piece is embellished with beautiful pattern work throughout, most notably with a filled diamond and circle ring at top and out reaching bouquet of acanthus leaves at bottom. A large golden ring is found on either side, with two spigots at the square bottom base. The fountain rests on its original painted wooden base bookending the list of details on this gorgeous period piece.
