This Louis XVI writing table features a beautiful rose marble top inlaid in a bronze d’ore frame. The French antique piece is mounted heavily in bronze d’ore; a floriate scroll bas relief rests on all four sides, with another bronze d’ore bas relief positioned on the center drawer. The mounts sport classic Louis XVI symbols including a torch, arrows in quiver, and a bow.  Each corner is mounted with a detailed bronze d’ore block marguerite. Bronze d’ore Ionic capitals lie at the top of each round, tapered leg, with d’ore feet at the base. Finally, bronze d’ore mounts sit recessed in the flutes both at top and bottom.

French 18th Century Louis XV Poudreuse(Vanity Table or Dressing Table) by “Hache Fils a Genoble”

This stunning Louis XV period poudreuse (dressing table or vanity table) by "Hache Fils a Genoble” is made of walnut with a contrasting dark trim.  In the center a mirror slides forward to stand perpendicular to the piece. The piece has two drawers, a tierette, and a door that opens on top of either side for storage.  While the left side is deeper with a dummy drawer on the front, the right side is more shallow with a real drawer below. The piece is dated "April 1775,” with a paper glued on the bottom interior of the right hand drawer to signify Hache as the creator.

Historic Pair of 18th Century Courtille Porcelain Vases, Inscribed from The Duke de Richelieu to The Princesse de Lamballe, Bronze d’Ore Mounts added in the 19th Century

This marvelous and historic pair of Napoleon III hand-painted Courtille porcelain vases feature bronze d’ore mounts alongside raised gold decorations. The French antique vases date back to the 18th century, with the bronze d’ore mounts added in the latter half of the 19th century. Impressively each top is inscribed on its underside: “Offert par le Duc de Richelieu a la Princesse de Lamballe,” translating to, “Given by the Duke de Richelieu to the Princesse de Lamballe.” The pair also features the mark of the Courtille porcelain manufacturer, an 18th century porcelain producer located in Paris. On the exterior, we find picnic scenes on the fronts and pastoral scenes on the backs. Bronze d’ore flows in plenty with d’ore knobs at top, d’ore handles on either side of each with the face of Bacchus. Finally the pair rests on beautifully chased and detailed d’ore stands.

Pair of German 18th Century Meissen Figures Depicting the Four Seasons

This pair of German Marcolini Meissen porcelain double figures offer a beautiful and unique depiction of the Four Seasons.  This pair is unusual in its representation of the four seasons are married within two sculptures:  two seasons on each piece. Each season is easily identified:  Winter is warming their hands on a fire, Spring is holding a cascading bunch of flowers.  On the other sculpture, we find Autumn holding a sheave of wheat, and the figure of Summer is holding a bunch of grapes in one hand, about to sample them, with a larger bunch of grapes in the other hand. Each sculpture is stamped on its bottom with the Meissen crossed swords in blue.

French 19th Century Empire Marble Top Table

This classic Empire table is made of walnut with a dark grey marble top. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and sports cylindrical column legs with bronze feet at the bottom and bronze capitals at its top.
