This Louis XV – Louis XVI Transition garde a manger is made of delicately light walnut, with one door featuring an elaborate escutcheon and carved spindles at the top opening. The French antique piece is in beautiful shape, dating back to the 18th century circa 1780. The piece has simple lines with floriate carvings at top, below the straight crown, and on the bottom apron. This was originally made as a kitchen cabinet, for storage of jars and other kitchen necessities of the 18th century.
