French 18th Century Period Louis XV Painted Armoire with Lined Interior
Item Number: 6762
This gorgeous Louis XV carved and painted armoire from Lyon features two front doors with scroll carvings on each. The French antique period piece dates back to the 18th century and sports hand chiseled pierced bronze escutcheon on each door as well as floriate carvings on the center apron. The interior is upholstered in French toile with a fantastic, vibrant jungle pattern. The shelves and interior trim are painted in a corresponding deep red color, a combination of which contrasts beautifully against the softer tones seen in the exterior. Finally, the piece rests on short cabriole legs with scrolling feet.
