This detailed Louis XVI chandelier is cast in bronze and dates back to the 19th century. The French antique piece most notably sports a rooster head motif on each of the eight scrolling arms. The arms themselves are draped in acanthus leaves and fleurettes, ending in beaded bronze bobeches. The crown at top is detailed and patterned. Moving down the stem we find flowing arrow feathers tucked into a unique orb-shaped center, which is itself patterned simply. The details culminate in a charactered and balanced fixture.

French 19th Century Louis XVI Bronze Chandelier with Jasper Ware Medallions and Knotted Stem
Item Number: 6149
This fantastic small Louis XVI chandelier features finely chiseled bronze and gorgeous jasper ware medallions. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century, sporting a woven fabric stem which cascades from a classic Louis XVI style ribbon at top. Detailed bronze cups and bobeches rest on herms facing downward which sit next to three oval jasperware medallions, in the manner of "Wedgwood", framed in bronze. Interspersed with these jasperware medallions, rest three oval frosted cut crystal medallions, also framed in bronze and embellished with laurel wreaths. Finally, the antique fixture is finished with a detailed acorn finial.
