This French 19th century chandelier is made of bronze in the classic Empire style. Note the details in the crown, the scroll work in the arms extending towards the patterned center ring, and the fluted arms which extend to the minimally detailed bobeches. The piece is balanced as the eye is drawn to the pattern work in the center ring, while the arms provide a sense of movement, combining to produce a poised and stately chandelier ready to bring a beautiful element of France to any home.
