This beautiful Empire chandelier features delicate bronze and cascading ropes of octagonal crystal. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and features a series of delightful details. Notice the lion heads at the top of each arm, and the pattern-work on the two rings at top and bottom, as well as the large, reticulated center ring. The crown features outreaching bronze elements adorned with long, hanging crystals. Finally, the bronze candle cups and bobeches sport minimal pattern-work and carry small beads of crystals followed by more long spears.

This small Empire table is made of walnut and features a dark grey marble top with contrasting white highlights. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and sports cylindrical column legs. The legs feature bronze feet at bottom and bronze capitals at top, meeting the two drawers below the marble. Two square legs stand at back, resting on the bottom shelf. The column design is classic to the Empire style, as are the bronze features. Two elements which combine to create an unpretentiously beautiful table.

This immensely gorgeous Louis XV marquetry bedroom suite consists of two beds with bronze mounts and one armoire made of satinwood. The French antique set dates back to the 19th century and is inlaid with a beautiful floral design. The bronze mounts are finely chased and beautifully detailed, with classic Louis XV motifs. The armoire features three doors, the center of which holds a large beveled mirror at front. Opening up the side doors, the piece reveals large internal mirrors as well as adjustable shelves. This Louis XV – Louis XVI Transition garde a manger is made of delicately light walnut, with one door featuring an elaborate escutcheon and carved spindles at the top opening. The French antique piece is in beautiful shape, dating back to the 18th century circa 1780. The piece has simple lines with floriate carvings at top, below the straight crown, and on the bottom apron. This was originally made as a kitchen cabinet, for storage of jars and other kitchen necessities of the 18th century.

This Louis XVI four door mahogany cabinet is adorned with bronze d'ore swags and mounts throughout; on the doors are floriate swags with a bow ribbon motif at center. Between the top large doors, and the lower doors is a grouping of intertwining leaf scrolls. The bottom doors are simply decorated in the classic Louis XVI manner, with short feet crowned with bronze d’ore capitals and bottoms. Additional details are seen in the bronze d'ore escutcheons as well as the gold leafed bronze in the fluting at bottom and the mounts at top left and right. The French antique piece sports the originl brass drawer pulls, and a top decorated with raised Japanese characters, a house in the distance, pagoda, and bridge. The piece is beautifully adorned throughout with flora and fauna. The word chinoiserie Originated in France in the 18th century, meaning “in the Chinese manner”, when anything Chinese or Japanese export was a display of wealth. This is when French furniture was lacquered and decorated with Chinese scenes in figures.
