This magnificent Louis XV satinwood cabinet is trimmed with dark wood and mounted with bronze. The french antique piece dates back to the 19th century and features two grilled doors alongside two solid doors fashioned from Coromandel panels. It was fashionable in the 19th century to use coromandel panels as doors, and to work these designs into the construction of French furniture. Final details can be found in the bronze escutcheon on each door and the cabriole legs with bronze mounts upon which the cabinet stands.

The French antique pair is adorned with gilded carvings of leaves which cascade down from the shell at top center, towards the base. More carved and gilded acanthus leaves are seen on the two angled corners at bottom, with fluted and raised elements above. The pair is constructed with a plain back making the pair best suited for placement against a wall.
