This classically beautiful carved and painted serpentine bombe` chest features a faux marbe top and base as well as floriate decorations throughout. The Italian antique piece dates back to the 19th century and sports two round drawer pulls on each of the three drawers. The curvature of the body paired with the color palette surely attracts the viewer's attention at first, however it's the detail in the flowers that holds onto our gaze and emanates the piece’s palpable historic beauty. Pinks, blues, greens, and reds all intertwine atop the painted background. It's a combination that reflects the Italian style of the 1800s, one that remains timeless to this day.

French 19th Century Louis XV Commode with Bronze Mounts and Marble Top
Item Number: 2730
This gorgeous Louis XV Bombé commode features two drawers with pierced bronze drawer pulls and detailed escutcheons. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and plays host to pierced bronze mounts at each of the front corners as well as the front apron and feet. A deep red and white contoured marble sits at top, with beautiful geometric marquetry on either side and floral marquetry at front. The movement in the wood, contoured marble top, and bronze mounts reflect movements commonly found in nature. The piece does well to bring the influences of mother earth to the interior design.
