This French, 19th century Louis XVI trumeau is carved, painted, and gilded beautifully. The piece features a pastoral oil painting depicting a maiden with her dog gazing on the bank of a wooded stream. The painting is enveloped in gold leafed details, and flanked by gold leafed pilasters with even more grand, golden elements throughout. Finally, the mirror at bottom is enveloped in the same carved, gold leafed framing.

This unusual pair of French Louis XVI style sconces are made of gorgeous bronze and date back to the early 1900s. The pieces feature a striking geometric pattern on the heavy backplate and elaborate bronze bobeches on the end of each arm. The four arms feature beautiful bronze work with a leaf motif, and extend from one central stem attached to the backplate.
