This pair of Venetian hanging lanterns features painted and pierced tole and dates back to the 19th century. The antique Italian pair is adorned with floriate decorations and glass panes. They were originally created as procession lights and hung on the end of poles, later rings were added to the top as they were wired for electricity to complete their conversion to the hanging lights seen here.

Pair of Large French 19th Century Louis XVI, Neo-Classic Lanterns

This fantastic pair of large Louis XVI octagonal lanterns are made of heavy solid bronze and date back to the 19th century. The French pair was originally gas burning and mounted atop a pair of gateposts but has since been converted to the hanging lanterns seen here and wired for electricity. They feature reticulated tops adorned with an acanthus leaf on each side, as well as scroll work at top and bottom. Lastly the bottoms are adorned with acorns and a large pomegranate finial.
