This French Restauration torchere is made of beautiful cast iron and burnished bronze. The piece dates back to the 19th century and was originally made for gas. Its accented with seven branches, each still featuring their own control for the gas jet. The stem is fluted, and supported by three bent legs which end on a triangular base with lions’ paw feet featuring gold leaf and a gold patina.

Pair of late 19th Century Spanish Terra Cotta Plates

This beautiful pair of Spanish terra cotta plates features a man and woman extending from the piece with shields to their right and left, and dates back to the late 19th century. The lady holds a fan, necklace, and elaborate dress, with lace mantilla falling from a comb on her head. The Gentleman holds his hand to his chin as if he is taken by the Lady’s beauty. He wears a plumed hat and bolero jacket encrusted with beads, and a cape draped from his left shoulder.
