French 19th Century Transition Marquetry Writing Table with Bronze d’Ore and Leather Writing Surface

This beautiful Louis XV – Louis XVI Transition writing table features satin wood and tulip wood marquetry. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and is mounted with finely chiseled bronze d’ore. Floriate bronze d’ore mounts cascade all the way down each leg, with d’ore drawer pulls on each of the two drawers. The center drawer is of course also ornamented with a detailed d’ore escutcheon.  The desk is inlaid with gold-tooled leather writing surface and framed in bronze d’ore.
