Rare French 19th Century Louis XVI Inlaid Handkerchief Game Table

This beautiful and rare Louis XVI game table features carved walnut and a unique handkerchief style hinged top. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and is inlaid with a bronze & gold felt top with gold tooling. The fluted, straight legs are classic Louis XVI in style and feature bronze mounts at top, embedded into the fluting, and at the bottom of the feet. The piece has the signature of “Paul Sormani,” noting its creation by one of the most prestigious artisans of the period.
