Pair of French Empire Armchairs with Swans, Circa 1870

This beautiful pair of mahogany Empire armchairs feature finely chiseled bronze mounts and dates back to the 19th century, circa 1870. Swans support each arm gracefully, with acanthus leaves and more swans on the back. Laurel wreaths and acanthus leaves are featured on the sabre legs, and the chairs are upholstered in a fine, patterned, French silk in green.
