19th Century Painted Tray with Fishermen and Accompanying Table

This french oval tole tray is beautifully hand-painted and dates back to the 19th century. The painting depicts a pair of fishermen at shore casting from ruins, a small tree rests in the foreground, and a horizon stretches in the distance with sunset drenched clouds. The scene is framed by grapes in deep red.

The stand itself is custom to the tray, and hand made at our antique store. It features legs and stretchers carved in the bamboo shape, and combines with the tray to make a beautiful accent or centerpiece.
