French 19th Century Louis XV Painted Armoire

This beautiful 19th century Louis XV hand carved and painted two door armoire was created to reflect the style of the 18^th century indicated by the with chapeau de gendarme top. This was a style which embodied the curvature of the military hats seen at the time. The French antique piece also sports floriate carved doors, is adorned with pierced metal escutcheons, and finally rests on cabriole legs with scroll feet at bottom.
