French 18th Century Louis XV Walnut Marble Top Console

Beautiful French Louis XV console made of walnut dating back to the 18th century. The piece features a contoured white marble top. Below rests detailed carvings; note the roses flanked by a greek key design at the base, the pair of roses at the top diagonal of the legs. The small circular elements in the scroll work at center and at top right and left denotes that the piece is from Normandy. Finally, the piece rests on scrolled legs at bottom which are wrapped by acanthus leaves.
