Magnificent Large Marble and Mahogany Empire Center Table with Gold Leafing

This large French Empire center table features a beautiful marble and mahogany, and dates back to the 19^th century. The marble is unusually thick, supported by four carved, painted, and gold leafed legs with a gold leaf acanthus motif at the center of each leg.  The apron features an elegant crown and scroll motif, accompanied by a black and gold leaf floriate motif over each of the column legs. The mahogany at the bottom is patterned, connecting the four legs, and finishes off the long list of details in this classic and stately Empire table.
