Early 19th Century Directoire Daybed

This French Directoire daybed is hand carved and hand painted in a Neo-Classic design with a covered urn in the center of each headboard. The piece dates back to the early 19th century, featuring a round finial on either side of the bed. Below rests a diamond shape framing of a central “marguerite.”
