French 19th Century Napoleon III Gilded Overmantel Mirror

This French Napoleon III overmantel mirror is fantastically carved and beautifully gilded. The piece dates back to the 19th century, features carved intaglios on either side, and is topped with an ornately stylized shell motif extending from the top. The piece is quite large, 7 feet tall. The mirror is squared at bottom and curved at the top, resulting in a beautifully framed piece.
