French 19th Century Louis XVI Bronze d’Ore and Crystal Chandelier

Showcasing a magnificent bronze d’ore chandelier styled in a classic, restrained Louis XVI manner. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and features an unusual round crown of crystal beads in a woven motif. This is embellished with accenting pear-shaped tear drop crystal cabochons which are suspended from crystal fleurettes. Below, the chandelier is draped with ropes of alternating large oval-cut crystals, and smaller round faceted beads. The arms are adorned beautifully with pear-shaped tear drop crystal cabochons that emulate rock crystal. Finally, the piece sports lightly patterned bronze d’ore bobeches and delicately beautiful bronze d’ore candle cups.
