This Venetian hexagonal lantern is made of iron and tole and features six glass panels. The piece dates back to the early 20th century and is embellished with acanthus leaves and scroll work at the top which is mirrored in the iron work on the bottom. The shape and design is classically Venetian, and is poised to bring character to any room.

French Late 19th Century Glass Melon Globe Lantern

This French hanging lantern dates back to the late 19th century and features a glass melon globe as the central piece. These glass globes were used as miniature green houses to protect plants from cold weather, and in this case has been converted into a light fixture. The piece features three lights suspended from a central stem, three pieces of chain which attach the crown to a bronze ring, holding the glass globe. Finally, a finial at bottom and glass plate at top bookend the fixture.
