This Louis XV “Tric Trac” (backgammon) game table features satinwood veneer and dates back to the 18th century, Circa 1780. The French Antique piece holds a reversible leather/felt top, which rotates to show the playing suface. The piece rests on cabriole legs with bronze mounts on the feet and sides, as well as two small drwaers with bronze pulls. The game of Tric Trac was invented in France around 1500, with the earliest record of the game dating back to 17th century England.

This beautiful and rare Louis XVI game table features carved walnut and a unique handkerchief style hinged top. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and is inlaid with a bronze & gold felt top with gold tooling. The fluted, straight legs are classic Louis XVI in style and feature bronze mounts at top, embedded into the fluting, and at the bottom of the feet. The piece has the signature of "Paul Sormani,” noting its creation by one of the most prestigious artisans of the period.
