18th Century Louis XV Tric Trac (Backgammon) Game Table with Bronze Mounts, Circa 1780

This Louis XV “Tric Trac” (backgammon) game table features  satinwood veneer and dates back to the 18th century,  Circa 1780. The French Antique piece holds a reversible leather/felt top, which rotates to show the playing surface. The piece  rests on cabriole legs with bronze mounts on the feet and sides,  as well as two small drawers with bronze pulls. The game of  Tric Trac was invented in France around 1500, with the earliest record of the game dating back to 17th century England.
