The piece features a female figure on either side wearing an Egyptian headdress, classic to the Empire style. Round white enamel clock face is flanked on either side by patinated bronze cherubs. The piece is crowned with a gorgeous bronze d’ore eagle, embellished with bronze d'ore details, and finished with a fantastically detailed bronze d'ore face which operated as the clocks pendulum. French 18th century Boulle clock on Boulle stand. The Louis XV clock has bronze mounts, with enameled Roman numerals for each hour. The pendulum can be seen through a glass below the face. On either side there is a decorative reticulated bronze. The stand is tortoise shell on the top, with Boulle brass scrolls inlaid on the front ends, the middle front, and the sides, resting on bronze bun feet.
