Unique Italian Empire Console with Matching Mirror Circa 1830

This beautiful Italian Empire set is comprised of a matching mirror and console and was created in the early 19th century circa 1830. The piece is detailed in hand carvings. The gold leaf gild work contrasts quite well against the painted brick red background. The piece is adorned with Egyptian influences and style; note the sphinxes, crown, and acanthus leaves for example. The torch legs are unique in their shape, as is the gorgeous column work which frames the mirror. Faux marble is painted at the base to match the original marble top of the console, furthering the sense of balance in the pair.

Regence Painted Buffet à Deux Corps, Early 18th Century

This early 18th Century painted Buffet a Deux Corps is truly immaculate. The piece is a true period piece, made in the Regence era when Louis XV was too young of age to rule so the country was ruled temporarily by King Phillipe D’Orleans. The cabinet is hand painted and hand carved with beautiful detail and features two open shelves on the sides and a pull out drawer in the center. Its rare to see the hand-carved elements on top of the piece present and in this condition given its 18th century origins. The hardware is original to the piece, as are the six doors.

19th Century Louis XVI Baccarat Crystal and Bronze D’Ore Chandelier with Rare Rectangular Crystal Prisms

This beautiful Louis XVI bronze d’ore chandelier dates back to the 19th century and is most notably heavily laden with Baccarat crystal. The crown is draped with ropes of octagon-shaped Baccarat crystal, and heavy crystal teardrops hang from each outreaching leaf. Venturing lower on the two-tier piece, note the chased bronze d'ore candle cups, drippers and bobeches featuring rare rectangular-shaped crystal prisms. The ornate lower-tier is draped with ropes of octagon-shaped Baccarat crystal, hung with plaquettes of varied shapes, and finally, finished with a large crystal ball finial.

19th Century Empire Mahogany Dining Table featuring Six Column Legs and Two Leaves

This Empire dining room table is made of mahogany and dates back to the 19th Century. Made in France, the piece features three leaves and six beautiful column legs, classic to the Empire style. Each leg is adorned with capitals of bronze with beading and scrolls at the top, elaborate squares at the center, and a Greek key design at the bottom.  The bronze beadings and scrolls are repeated at the base of the columns, with a detailed floral design at the top of the base.

Napoleon III Server with Exquisite Marquetry, Heavily Chased Bronze, and Breche Violette Marble

This exquisite Napoleon III two door server features heavily chased bronze d'ore mounts and dates back to the 19th century. The piece in which it is modeled after was designed in the 18th century for the King’s Library at the Palace of Versailles, and in fact remains at the palace still. The marquetry is finely detailed, the center featuring tulip wood, a slightly green wood commonly known as tulip or yellow poplar, satin wood, and pear wood all together combining to show the flower motif and urn on its side. Finally, the top is made of breche violet marble.
