This pair of fantastic French bronze sconces feature most notably at top a bouquet of eight bronze d’ore candle holders. Dating back to the 19th century, the pair offers a beautiful spiraling "Horn of Plenty” base, with an egg and dart motif around the top opening. The horn is embellished with acanthus leaves and fluting, and the sconces are mounted with patterned bronze sunbursts.

This unusual pair of French Louis XVI style sconces are made of gorgeous bronze and date back to the early 1900s. The pieces feature a striking geometric pattern on the heavy backplate and elaborate bronze bobeches on the end of each arm. The four arms feature beautiful bronze work with a leaf motif, and extend from one central stem attached to the backplate.

Large Pair of Empire Sconces, Circa 1860, with Heavy Egyptian Influences

This gorgeous pair of 19th century Empire sconces are made of bronze and tole, and feature fantastically stylized Egyptian figures on each backplate. Note the details in the wings, the fabric and hands with fingers resting on the arms. The center features a delicately detailed wreath above a flaming, winged torch. The four arms are beautifully detailed as well, with each bobeche featuring acanthus leaves and a profiled face. At bottom, the Egyptian figure’s feet rests on a golden bronze ball. The pair is a true reflection of the artistry in the 1800s, as well as the heavy Egyptian influence on the French during its creation, circa 1860, due to Napoleon’s campaign in the region.
