This french oval tole tray is beautifully hand-painted and dates back to the 19th century. The painting depicts a pair of fishermen at shore casting from ruins, a small tree rests in the foreground, and a horizon stretches in the distance with sunset drenched clouds. The scene is framed by grapes in deep red. The stand itself is custom to the tray, and hand made at our antique store. It features legs and stretchers carved in the bamboo shape, and combines with the tray to make a beautiful accent or centerpiece.

Biedermeir Pedestal Table, Circa 1840

This 19th century round Biedermeir pedestal table features fantastic artistry and craftsmanship. The top is inlaid with exotic wood, the base is inlaid with vertical stripes, and the foot features a horizontal inlay of the same design as the top band. The table top is centered with a classic sunburst inlay of a lighter wood. The edge of the table top is reeded, and inlaid with fleurettes of lighter wood. Finally the piece rests on bun feet at the bottom.

This magnificent 19th century tortoiseshell Boulle desk features gorgeous bronze mounts and sculpted brass inlaid in the tortoise shell. The desk is created in the style of Louis XV with cabriole legs, each mounted with a female allegorical figure. The red tortoiseshell top is embellished beautifully with brass depictions of Diana the Huntress riding her chariot pulled by horses, alongside floriate details and scroll work. The front, sides, and legs all feature the tortoise shell and brass inlay, with the legs ending in winged and scrolled bronze feet and the top wrapped in patterned bronze. The piece features a large single drawer with a shield at center, surrounded by the same bronze mounts. Lastly, the desk features a glass top.

The table is made of mahogany and features a locking cantilever top which angles towards either side. This Louis XV “Tric Trac” (backgammon) game table features satinwood veneer and dates back to the 18th century, Circa 1780. The French Antique piece holds a reversible leather/felt top, which rotates to show the playing suface. The piece rests on cabriole legs with bronze mounts on the feet and sides, as well as two small drwaers with bronze pulls. The game of Tric Trac was invented in France around 1500, with the earliest record of the game dating back to 17th century England.
