It features a number of unique elements; the bronze crown is topped with a seldom seen feather design, square cut crystals are set on the diagonal in between two center rings, and the piece itself features an uncommon 9 lights on the center ring. The fixture is bronze and is both simply and delicately detailed. It features 8 rings in total, as well as octagonal cut, teardrop cut, and circular cut crystals along with the aforementioned square pieces. Unique Late 19th Century Bronze Chandelier with Cut and Polished Crystal Globes

This fantastic late 19th century chandelier features an array of unique elements in a rarely seen shape. The five globes are extremely finely cut, polished and made of heavy crystal. The piece features a mirrored bottom, used to reflect and inherently amplify the light as well as to create a more open space. The lights’ orientation, facing downwards, is a straight forward indication that the piece was made after electricity. The ornately cast arms are made of bronze, and attach to a beautiful dome. This magnificent rock crystal and bronze d’ore chandelier comes from the Paris residence of the Baron James-Mayer de Rothschild, the legendary l’Hotel Talleyrand. At what was probably the most exquisite “hotel particulier” in Paris, the Rothschilds’ entertained lavishly. Historically, when the building was purchased by the U. S. government after World War II, l’Hotel Talleyrand became the site of the administration of the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe. The rock crystal can be found most notably in the magnificent and massive centerpiece which surrounds the stem, as well as the spears on the upper tier. Rare Swedish Directoire Chandelier, Circa 1840

This beautiful and incredibly rare Swedish Directoire chandelier is the oldest in our vast collection. The piece dates back to the early 19th century, circa 1840, and features gilded arms, six pierced tole rings draped with ropes of pear shaped crystal beads, delicate long crystals, and plumes of horizontal cylindrical crystals rising up from the main ring.
