This gorgeous pair of 19th century Japanese Imari vases are beautifully hand-painted in the classic Imari colors of blue, terra cotta, gold and white. The pair features a Foo dog handle on each top, and detailed bronze work throughout. French 19th Century Single Bronze Sconce

This French single light bronze sconce dates back to the late 19th century and features a multitude of details. The ornately cast arm ends in a cut glass globe, with the bulb as the staymen of the flower. The positioning of the downward facing bulb (impossible in candle burning fixtures) reflects the novelty of the electric light, invented shortly before this piece was created. The casting features whimsical details; note the face on the back plate, the face on the arm looking downward with the light, and the additional face on the arm near the backplate.
