This French Louis XVI chandelier is cast in beautiful bronze and dates back to the 19th century. At top, the crown is embellished with crystal fleurettes all the way around, and draped with both ropes of octagon-shaped crystals as well as cut crystal plaquettes. The crystal center is surrounded by crystal bobeches, as well as bronze dripper and bronze candle cups. The two-tiered piece is draped with ropes of octagon-shaped crystals at bottom, and hung with cut crystal plaquettes of various-shapes throughout. Finally, the chandelier is finished with a cut crystal ball finial in the lapidary cut.

The center is decorated with finely chiseled small bronze putti, overlooking the chandelier just under its fluted crown. As the eye moves downward, we see a floriated bronze decoration above patinated bronze elements. The top of the contoured back features pristinely carved roses and leaves, alongside floriate carvings throughout. The sides, back, and seat are caned, with upholstery on top of each arm. Square “Marguerites” can be found carved at the top and side of each fluted leg, which are themselves graduated in size towards the bottom. The piece is delicately detailed and well balanced, a true depiction of French artistry in the 19th century.

This set of three extremely fine French Regence armchairs features beautiful gilt wood and dates back to the 19th century. The fauteuil pieces are beautifully carved and feature arched, canted, rectangular backs, over bowed seats within serpentine arms, all shimmering from the gold leaf covering. Each chair is raised on cabriole legs ending in scroll feet with a front carved with shell center, and acanthus leaves. The upholstery is gorgeous and in fantastic shape, featured on the seats, fronts, and arms. The backs upholstered on the backs, seats, and arms in fine floral tapestry, with the back classicly are upholstered in a classic French cotton plaid. Lastly, each chair has a carved giltwood “X” form, serpentine stretcher attached to its four legs.
