French 19th Century Louis XV Blue Turquin Marble Mantel
This beautiful Louis XV Mantel is made with Blue Turquin marble, an Italian marble found in the Provence of Carrara, highly praised and used in the 18th and 19th centuries because of both its ‘hardness’ and style. The Louis XV style is evident in the shape of the piece, and the blue-grey hue of the marble with sinuous (heavily curved) veining is poised to elevate any fireplace.
