French 19th Century Louis XVI Carved & Painted Sofa Frame

This Louis XVI carved & painted sofa frame (canape a corbeille) is adorned with reed carved fluting on each arm support, and features a Greek key design carved on the side bottom of each support. The beautiful French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and sports a block atop each fluted leg. The legs themselves are graduated in size smaller toward bottom.
