19th Century Walnut Panetiere (French Bread Box)
This French elaborately carved 19th century walnut panetiere features a straight top over a central cupboard door flanked by spindles and spindled sides, on turned legs. The panetiere was used to cool freshly baked bread when it came out of the oven.
